Holidays in Merida, Mexico are always great fun! Merida is the city for clean safe fun. There is always a party in Merida. Yucatecan’s are always looking for a reason to party.

The Posadas start early December. Christmas is a wonderful time to be in Merida. The city is beautifully decorated and the weather is perfect. Then on Jan 6th there is the “Festival of Three Kings”.

Carnival in Merida starts two weekends before Ash Wednesday. The parades start the weekend before Ash Wednesday. Carnival is nice clean fun with great eye candy.

Easter is usually a family time and most of Mexico takes one or two weeks off and heads to the beach.

Labor Day in Mexico is always the first of May.

Most Mexican nationals start taking their vacations starting December 12. So from December 12 to January 6 not much gets done in the Mexican business world. It is party time in the Yucatan!
