mIRC Chat Room

Merida’s most popular chat room for gay people is mIRC. To access the chat room from a website directly is as follows:

Go to the Undernet Webchat interface: http://www.undernet.org/webchat.php

People HAVE to specify a nickname AND the Favorite Channel name which is #gaymerida (include the #)

To Access the chat room from an external program you will have to download a special software, there is a program called mIRC. Once mIRC is installed in the PC, people should run it and fill out their details on it, choose a nickname and connect to any Undernet server (chat network). Once connected to the Undernet network people would issue the following command:

		/join #gaymerida

And then press enter and they will join the chat room. This process of connecting to the Undernet servers would have to be done every time they open mIRC but its a very easy process once mIRC is installed and people get accustomed to doing that.
